ABOUT DR.DENNIS

Dr. Elizabeth Dennis is an Orthopedic Surgeon, fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine Surgery specializing in the management and surgical treatment of knee, shoulder, and elbow problems. Dr. Dennis utilizes minimally invasive arthroscopy and other advanced surgical techniques to address musculoskeletal ailments such as ligamentous knee injuries, meniscal tears, patellar instability, cartilage disorders, shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears and shoulder arthritis. Her special interest is in patellofemoral surgery and research, work that she has published in several peer reviewed journals and presented at the national and international level.

Dr. Dennis completed her medical school and residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University. She completed a Sports Medicine Surgery Fellowship at The Hospital for Special Surgery. During this fellowship she was part of the medical team for the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Mets (MLB) and the Brooklyn Cyclones (MiLB). She currently serves as a player physician for the US OPEN. Dr. Dennis is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), American Academic of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Arthroscopic Association of North American (AANA) and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).

Dr. Dennis lives in Brooklyn with her husband and miniature dachshund, Leia.
